Thanks to the successful conclusion of all the standard, type and special tests requested by the Customer, the certification process of the first Shunt Reactor from the new framework contract was concluded few weeks ago.

The unit, a 70MVA - 132kV with separate cooling bank, has positively passed all the tests with very satisfactory results, especially as regards the noise level, which is always a critical parameter for reactors of this type.

Other prototypes of the same important framework contract will follow shortly, the next an 80MVA - 150kV, which will allow wide diffusion of TIRONI Shunt Reactors in the Italian Transmission network.
