ELETTROMECCANICA TIRONI Power Transformers meet international standards (IEC, IEEE / ANSI, ...) and they are built according to the technical specifications of final customer.
The production range currently reaches 400MVA power units and 420kV voltage units normally divided into the following categories:
- Transformers for Large Distribution
They are Step-Down transformers used on networks to distribute the energy received from high-voltage networks to others at lower voltage. They are typically three-phase transformers with on load tap changer (OLTC) for variation of the transformation ratio.
- Transformers for Transmission
They are used in high-voltage transmission networks. They are typically three phase transformers, and often autotransformers, with on load tap changer (OLTC) for variation of the transformation ratio.
- Transformers for Production (GSU)
Transformers for production of electric energy, Generator step-up transformers (GSU) are installed in power plants and connect the generator to the high-voltage transmission network.
They can be equipped with off-load tap changer for small variations in transformation ratios.
All transformers are tested at factory before shipment and on site after reassembling to ensure all our customers the highest quality and reliability and ensure compliance with warranty values.
Transformers can be installed in environments with particularly severe conditions:
- Operating temperatures: -50 ° C + 55 ° C
- Altitude > 2000m above sea level
- Highly corrosive environment
- Seismic zones
