We’re extremely proud to announce that tonight we have positively concluded the short circuit withstand test on our first 400kV prototype filled with natural ester oil!!!

It is a 250MVA, 400kV Autotransformer positively tested at the CESI lab in Rondissone (Italy).
With this result Elettromeccanica Tironi enters in the very restricted group of companies that have been capable to design, manufacture and test a 400kV unit filled with natural ester oil and Tironi enters with this test in the even more selective club of companies that were capable to pass positively the short circuit test for such a high voltage level.

A really incredible success that describes very well our capabilities in engineering and manufacturing.

Thanks to this successful prototype it will now start the series production of these Autotransformers that will be in service in the Italian Transmission Network.
