On site short circuit tests have been positively completed in Morocco on all the 4 transformers (40MVA, 225kV) and the 13 Autotransformers (10MVA, 55kV) that feed the new (and first ever) High Speed line in Morocco, the LGV Tangier-Kenitra.

 

After the positive experience in French High Speed (LGV Méditerranée, LGV Est européenne e LGV Sud Europe Atlantique SEA) this Mobility project confirms once again the role of Elettromeccanica Tironi among the leaders of the traction transformers’ market, in particular for the High voltage lines for high speed trains.

In this particular case indeed, the project assumes also a strategic importance that goes beyond the pure technical ability, being the first High Speed project of the area, thus starting to promote a new type of mobility for a huge number of people, that approaches them in a new way.
